Ride of the Month: Little Elden TrailWe recommend you wait a week or two before trying to ride this trail through to or from Schultz Pass as there is still some snow on north-facing slopes, but we wanted to draw come attention to it as we come into spring.
Little Elden Trail was one of several trails affected by the Schultz Fire and subsequent flooding as a result of the fire. This trail is the first of these trails to be reopened to legal use. Hundreds of volunteer, Conservation Corp and Forest Service employee hours have be spent reestablishing tread, creating drainage and erecting structures in an effort to keep this trail from being decimated by monsoon debris flows. As you ride, keep a lookout for some of these substantial structures. A huge thanks to all who have worked to reestablish this route!!
A great way to incorporate this trail into a ride is to make a huge all-day loop around Mt. Elden using Pipeline Trail, Forces of Nature, Christmas Tree, Little Elden, Schultz and Rocky Ridge Trails. Doing the whole loop is physically and technically challenging, although there are no “show stoppers” from a technical standpoint. This route is a classic!

Propaganda: Dusting off the ride
Is it Spring yet? Sure seems like it’s about time!
Saturday was a beautiful day and we are sure that most of you dragged your bikes out of the garage only to find them in need of a little springtime lubing and tuning…we are here to help!
Please keep in mind that although we get backed up in our repair department, we have figured out various ways to keep you on your bike for the maximum amount of time.
Most minor one component repairs we strive to execute within a day or so. More time consuming work, like tune-ups and suspension work, is scheduled first-come-first served. If your bike is left here with us, it will get done sooner.
We can schedule repairs for “Same Day Service” as well. If your bike is working adequately enough to continue riding in the mean time, we can schedule a day to drop off your bike and have any needed work done that same day by close.
If there is something relatively minor keeping you from riding, we will do everything we can to get you back on the road or trail in the for now, and schedule the more substantial work for a later date.
When you are working with us to get work done, keep these things in mind and let us know when you are hoping to ride. We will work with you the best we can to keep you rolling.
