There’s no such thing as strangers, only friends we haven’t met yet.If you are receiving this email, it’s probably because you like our stores and want to know what we are up to. That said, we’d really appreciate it if you could do us a little favor. Please go to Google Reviews , for Sedona, Google Reviews for Flagstaff and give us some positive reviews! We haven’t really pushed on this much, and we’d like your help to make us all some new friends. Thank you!!
Visit our new and improved store in Sedona! We have moved into our new location, conveniently located right next door to our old location. We have more than twice the room that we have had, to better serve all of the cycling needs of the greater Verde Valley area. Stop in and check out our new digs! Stay tuned for details on a Grand Re-Opening Ride and Party!
Check out our new and improved web site! http://www.absolutebikes.netWe have been plugging away on this for the past month or so and we are now live. We will be adding more photos and some other functionality soon. Check in occasionally to get details on our events, clinics and rides. If you want to demo-to-purchase a bike, you can reserve it online. Check out details on the Bro-Buddy Rebate Program. Learn funny things about our staff. Check it out!
Bike advocacy Action Alert! Check out the League of American Bicyclists page here:
http://www.capwiz.com/lab/issues/alert/?alertid=60929976&type=TA The House of Representatives Transportation Committee has just released the American Energy and Infrastructure Jobs Act. This bill would effectively eliminate the Transportation Enhancements funds, which has helped to build the Flagstaff Urban Trail System, would repeal the Safe Routes to School Program, which helps fund the local free and discounted bike helmets for kids program and generally otherwise gut funding for bicycling and walking infrastructure.
Click the link and let your Congressman know how you feel about this! It’s easy and takes only a couple minutes.
Nothing says “I Love You” like new bike stuff for Valentine’s Day!Not that we’re not biased about such things, but chocolates might make you fat, flowers might make you sneeze and jewelry is boring after the first day or so.

Ride of the Month: Rocky Ridge, Pipeline and Forces of Nature
Hey how about that weather we’ve been having? Sedona’s trails have been rockin’ all winter, but sometimes you just don’t have time to drive all the way from Flagstaff to ride trails. (To all of you who live in the Verde Valley, you have it made in the winter, we know!)
Rocky Ridge and Forces of Nature are two trails that tend to dry up earlier than most of the others in the Flagstaff area. Both of these trails have some challenging sections, but most avid mountain bikers will have a great time on these routes.
There are many options in the Forces of Nature/Pipeline area to loop back to the Schultz Creek Trail head so that this doesn’t necessarily need to be an out-and-back ride. You really can’t get too lost, because Flagstaff is on one side and Mt. Elden is on the other. If it has been snowy or rainy, be careful to avoid the terrible mud on the back side of Buffalo Park!

Propaganda: We’d like to meet your friends!
We really work hard trying to earn your business, and we really hope that we are succeeding. Certainly if we ever aren’t living up to your expectations, we’d like to know so that we have the opportunity to make things right.
With that in mind, we would really like it if you would recommend us to your friends. If you are the “bike expert” at your work, please let your coworkers know about us. We stock stuff for everyone and welcome new riders, so you can be confident that we will spend extra time with folks just starting out. If you are new to riding and felt comfortable in the store, let your other friends know this…we can get them started and you’ll have more folks to ride with!
Please consider “Recommending” us to your “Friends” on Facebook or Twitter. If they are cyclists, they might benefit from the info on events and specials that we post there.
If you are an avid cyclist and you have been satisfied by our availability of parts and accessories to keep you riding without having to wait for mail order stuff, or our staff’s expertise on the intricacies of repair or fit, please let your riding buddies know about us.
We want to grow our business, not just because we want to be able to pay folks a livable wage and be able to afford nice bikes ourselves, but because the more our business is successful, the more resources we have to concentrate on better inventory, staff training, events and advocacy in Flagstaff and Sedona. We reinvest much of our success in our business and communities in the hopes that you will continue to choose us for your cycling needs.
Thanks for your continuing to choose Absolute Bikes!
