Flagstaff
Biking.org has created a Mobile Trail Crew
to help provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all trail users
in the Flagstaff Forests. The role of Trail Crew is to do trail
maintenance, provide minor first aid, equipment repairs, assistance,
offer tourism information, and to encourage responsible etiquette
and involvement.
14 volunteers were trained by the FS. If you are interested in getting
involved contact Carl, our outreach coordinator, at 773-4694 or
email.

Believing
in the goodness of the bike is simple for us at Absolute Bikes,
we find ourselves surrounded by them daily. We ride our bikes to
work, we ride our bikes for fun, we work on bikes so that you will
love your bike once again, and, of course, we sell bikes to put
food on the table. We, like you perhaps, are true believers in
the nobility of the bike. But a wise person once advised true believers
everywhere, regardless of their creed, to "put your money
where your mouth is," a statement that gets to the heart
of advocacy. To advocate means to stand up and speak out about
an issue you believe in and, as we have noted above, we believe
in the inherent goodness and practicality of bikes. Therefore,
many of us at Absolute Bikes advocate for bikes on a regular basis
as members of the Flagstaff Bicycle Advisory Committee, as volunteers
on USFS-sponsored trail workdays, and by promoting youth bicycle
safety programs such as SAFE KIDS, as well as a host of other bike-consciousness-raising
events throughout the year.
