Beartooth Publishing made its original Sedona trail map in 1998. The mountain biking scene was fairly minimal back then – old jeep roads were about the only option for riding. Now, due to extensive trail building, Sedona consistently ranks in the top ten mountain biking destinations in North America, so there was a need for an additional Sedona map tailored more toward biking. To better show the dense network of trails around town, the scale of this map is larger than the original Sedona map. This map includes descriptions for 14 local mountain bike rides. At least a couple of new trails are built every year around Sedona. Because of that, this map is updated about once per year. Beartooth personally rides every new trail.
